David Chase, the creator and producer of the multi-Emmy and Golden Globe winning critically acclaimed series The Sopranos, will make his feature film directing debut for Paramount Vantage with a music-driven coming of age story set in suburbia in the 60's, it was announced today by Paramount Picture's Chairman and CEO Brad Grey, and President of Paramount Film Group Adam Goodman. Chase, who wrote the original script, will produce alongside Oscar winning producer Mark Johnson (Rain Man, The Chronicles of Narnia).

A veteran writer, producer, and director, Chase has been recognized by the WGA, DGA, PGA, Golden Globes, and received a total of 7 Emmy Awards in his career.
