David Cronenberg recently interviewed and spoke about his next project dark comedy Maps to the Stars.

The director confirms Robert Pattinson's commitment to the film.

"I asked Rob if he would be interested in playing a particular role in it and he said yes, he would. Likewise, Viggo is interested in a role. It would be very interesting. This is a project called Maps to the Stars written by Bruce Wagner who is a wonderful L.A. screenwriter."

The director goes on to talk about how difficult it has been to make the film.

"It's not a go picture. We have a script that I love that Bruce wrote. It's a very difficult film to get made as was Cosmopolis actually. Whether I can get this movie to happen, I tried it five years ago, I couldn't get it made, so I still might not be able to get it made."

Plot details for the film are being held under wraps, but we do know that the film follows a pair of child actors, who are ruined by Hollywood. The director was unsuccessful in bringing the film to life 5 years ago due to financial issues.

This project is still in early development.
