It has been speculated for months now that T.J. Miller is playing Deadpool sidekick Weasel in the upcoming Marvel comic book adaptation from 20th Century Fox. Though, the studio has yet to reveal which characters he and Ed Skrein have actually signed on for. The comedic actor is now teasing his role in a new Tweet, which hints that he is in fact playing Weasel, and may even be sliming down for the role.

While others have also officially joined the movie since the start of the New Year, the only confirmed characters are Deadpool, Colossus and Angel Dust. Gina Carano is set to play the Angel Dust role, but Daniel Cudmore, who first played Colosuss in the X-Men movies, was not asked to return here. Also confirmed for the cast is Morena Baccarin as Deadpool's love interest, but her character has yet to be revealed.

Weasel fills many roles in Wade Wilson's life as Deadpool. Not only is he the resident comedic relief sidekick, which every superhero needs, he is also an information broker and an arms dealer. He first appeared in the comic book 'Deadpool: The Circle Chase #1' way back in 1993, and he is known for his frequent mood swings and tenuous mental state. Because of this, Wade often abuses and mistreats him, a theme which will likely run through the movie as well. 20th Century Fox has not yet confirmed the Weasel role is T.J. Miller's, but he seems like a natural fit. What do you think?
