After a barrage of production photos and set videos, Deadpool went radio silent during Star Wars Celebration and the launch of what seemed like a thousand major blockbuster trailers. The Merc with the Mouth also let The Joker have his coming out party to himself yesterday. But now he's back, and he's bloodier than ever! Deadpool has officially reached the halfway mark in it's shooting schedule, and to celebrate, star Ryan Reynolds returned to social media to share one very red photo of Wade Wilson in his signature white tanktop. He exclaims:

"Officially halfway through production on #deadpool and I feel fine. The other guys? notsomuch.

Production in Vancouver has gone according to plan with just one minor accident. A few weeks back, a paparazzi hit Ryan Reynolds with his car in a parking structure. But the durable star made it back to set for some intensive stunts just days later. Deadpool is Based on Marvel Comics' beloved anti-hero, Deadpool. This franchise-starter tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds stars alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust (named after the Faith No More album), Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead (named after the Monster Magnet song), Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. Tim Miller makes his directorial debut working from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. If you didn't know, Deadpool is confirmed for an R rating, and will fill in for Fifty Shades of Grey on February 12, 2016 as that Franchise takes a one-year break between sequels.
