Leading up to 20th Century Fox's massive two-hour Comic-Con panel in Hall H, the studio never officially confirmed which movies they were going to show, but Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds revealed that he was heading to San Diego earlier this week, and Rob Liefeld, who created the Deadpool comics, held a scavenger hunt all around San Diego, where he hid 24 original sketches for fans to find. When the panel finally got under way, fans got to see The Merc With the Mouth with the first official trailer, which everyone has been raving about since the panel let out.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life. The panel got kicked off with an innovative opening sequence, narrated by Ryan Reynolds, who says, "In a world divided by fear, one man must stand against the forces of evil. From the studio that inexplicably sewed his mouth shut, they give you... me," and when the lights turned on, the actor himself was standing on the stage, much to the delight of the thousands of fans in attendance.

20th Century Fox didn't release the footage to the public, but the trailer did leak online, which you can check out below, but, be warned, it is R-rated and there will be plenty of adult language. Are you more excited for Deadpool now than ever before? Chime in with your thoughts, and stay tuned for the debut of this exciting footage.
