Colin Hanks has signed on for a large role in the upcoming sixth season of the Showtime hit series Dexter.

Details on Colin Hanks' character are being kept under wraps, although this kind of secrecy about the role has lead to speculation that the actor could be portraying the new nemesis to Michael C. Hall's Dexter Morgan. However, Showtime president David Nevins recently indicated Season 6 won't feature just one main villain. Here's what he had to say below.

"It is not [about] one big bad. There's one interesting story that will move through the season, and it will be cast very interestingly, but it's not exactly that one person."

Back in March, Michael C. Hall told us production on Season 6 of Dexter will start in May, although it isn't known if production has already started yet. Dexter's sixth season will debut on Showtime sometime this fall.
