Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has signed onto star in the upcoming Lionsgate horror-thriller Dibbuk Box.

Morgan will appear as a recently-divorced father whose youngest daughter develops a bizarre connection to an antique wooden box she bought at a garage sale. The father discovers that it is in fact a Dibbuk Box, which contains a demonic entity that is seeking out a human host.

Sam Raimi and Robert G. Tapert are producing through their Ghost House Productions banner. Knowing screenwriters Juliet Snowden and Stiles White wrote the script, which is based on true events. Ole Bornedal is directing the thriller.

An October 28 release date has already been set, although it isn't known when production will start.
