Principal photography has begun on Academy Award nominee Michael Mann's untitled feature film starring Chris Hemsworth, Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, Wei Tang and Leehom Wang for Legendary Pictures. Written by Morgan Davis Foehl and Michael Mann from a project Mann has been developing with Legendary for over a year, the story will center on cyber-theft and cyber-attacks. Thomas Tull, Michael Mann and Jon Jashni will produce with Alex Garcia serving as executive producer.

Joining Mann behind the scenes is director of photography, Academy Award nominee Stuart Dryburgh (Luck, The Piano); production designer, Academy Award nominee Guy Hendrix Dyas (Inception); costume designer, Academy Award winner Colleen Atwood (Snow White and the Huntsman, Chicago); editor, Joe Walker (Shame) and casting director, Bonnie Timmermann (Luck).

Chris Hemsworth will be seen in the upcoming film Rush directed by Ron Howard. Later this year, Academy Award nominee Viola Davis will star in Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners and Gavin Hood's Ender's Game. Wei Tang and Leehom Wang both starred in Ang Lee's Lust, Caution.

Michael Mann recently produced Witness and the dramatic series Luck, both for HBO. His credits include Public Enemies, The Insider, Heat, Ali, Collateral and The Last of the Mohicans.

The film is slated for release in 2014.
