Ruben Fleischer is in negotiations to direct the family adventure Overnight for Walt Disney Pictures.

Oren Uziel (The Kitchen Sink) wrote the script that is described as Home Alone set in a large toy store similar to FAO Schwartz. The story centers on a divorced father and his son who win a sleepover in the store, although their night takes a strange turn when they must difuse a hostage situation after thieves try to stage a robbery.

The project was initially set up at Sony/Columbia Pictures, but it was picked up out of turnaround by Disney last year. Neal H. Moritz is attached to produce, although production schedule has been released.

The director first gained notice with his 2009 undead comedy Zombieland, which he followed up with 2011's action-comedy 30 Minutes or Less and last year's period crime drama Gangster Squad. Oren Uziel's other credits include this summer's 22 Jump Street and Men in Black 4, which is in development at Sony.
