Steve Pink, who directed the recent comedy remake About Last Night, has signed on to direct Overnight for Disney. We reported in February that Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Gangster Squad) was in talks to direct, but a deal was never reached.

Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street, The Kitchen Sink) wrote the screenplay, which centers on a father and son who win the opportunity to spend the night in a massive toy store reminiscent to FAO Schwartz.

The absent-minded father, who is recently divorced, is trying to salvage his relationship with his son, while at the same time trying to defuse a hostage situation. The project was first set up at Sony/Columbia Pictures, but it was picked up out of turnaround last year by Disney.

Steve Pink also directed the upcoming comedy sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2. He also has a few other project in development, such as The Yank starring Will Ferrell and Vacation Friends starring Chris Pratt and Anna Faris.
