‘Divergent’ Trailer!

MTV debuted the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Divergent during the 30th Annual MTV Video Music Awards earlier tonight, following the first look we showed you last week. Neil Burger directs this adaptation of Veronica Roth's young adult novel, which follows a young woman named Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley), a "divergent" who doesn't fit into any one of the five factions that everyone must live under. In case you are unfamiliar with the popular novel, Summit Entertainment has provided us with an infographic that breaks down each faction.

Divergent was released March 21st, 2014.

@bryanyentz Agreed. This is just pointless and Kate Winslet is in this? Come on, did she learned nothing from Movie 43?

Hey, I've seen this movie! Wasn't that long ago either. Can't remember what it was called though. Oh yeah! That's right I remember now, HUNGER GAMES!!!

Seriously though, I've read both series of books and wasn't impressed by either, Hunger Games or Divergent. Although Divergent reminds me a bit of a combination of Hunger Games and Battle Royale. Material may get new, only because of a different author. But it's far from original. Sadly, I have a feeling I'm going to watch this anyway out of sheer morbid curiosity.

I'm giving this a chance, but that trailer didn't excite me at all.

looks like 'Hunger Games' and 'The Host' combined :)
