Earlier today, we reported that Marvel's Phase 3 adventure Doctor Strange passed the $600 million worldwide box office milestone, in its fourth frame in theaters. Now we have new concept art that features an unused design of the religious zealots that follow the villain Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen). This design was discarded at some point during the production process, since those who followed Kaecilius looked nothing like this in the finished film.

Comic Book Movie came across this concept art. They first posited it might be for Mistriss of Death rumored to be featured in Avengers: Infinity War. That story was updated, explaining that it's actually an unused design from Doctor Strange. It hasn't been revealed where this image came from, or who drew it.

From Marvel Studios comes Doctor Strange, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place-a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality.

Before long, Strange, armed with newly acquired magical powers, is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. The supporting cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Benedict Wong as Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One. Scott Derrickson is directing with Kevin Feige producing. Louis D'Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Charles Newirth and Stan Lee serve as executive producers. Jon Spaihts and Scott Derrickson & C. Robert Cargill wrote the screenplay.

Doctor Strange is the second movie in Marvel's Phase Three line-up, which revealed the new Infinity Stone in the form of the Eye of Agamotto, which is the Time Gem. There is just one more Infinity Stone left to be revealed, the Soul Stone, which has been rumored to be introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, which hits theaters November 3, 2017. Take a look at the new Doctor Strange concept art below.
