Yesterday, we reported that Marvel's new Phase 3 adventure Doctor Strange was yet another box office hit for the studio, taking in $84.9 million during its opening weekend. The superhero adventure also pulled off an impressive international debut with $86 million two weeks ago. Now we have word that the movie has taken in an impressive $325 million worldwide thus far.

The news comes from Box Office's Twitter feed, which reports that the movie earned an impressive $118.7 million estimated in foreign territories, an impressive increase of 38%. Its overseas tally has now crossed $240.4 million. We'll have to wait and see what this superhero adventure will end its box office run with over the next few months.

Doctor Strange got off to a good start with Thursday preview screenings, taking in $9.4 million from these sneak peeks. It still didn't manage to break Marvel's Thursday record set by Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which earned a whopping $27.6 million on its opening Thursday last summer, which lead to a $84.4 million opening day and a $191.2 million opening weekend. Earlier this summer, Captain America: Civil War made $25 million on Thursday, leading up to a $75.5 million opening day and a $179.1 million opening weekend.

While the movie has opened in most foreign markets, it has still yet to open in a few territories. Director Scott Derrickson's movie will open in Serbia on November 10, followed by a release in Argentina on November 24 and its final market, Japan, opening in January 27, 2017. There has already been talk about Doctor Strange 2, but a sequel hasn't been confirmed by Marvel Studios quite yet.

From Marvel Studios comes Doctor Strange, the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place-a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange-armed with newly acquired magical powers-is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
