24: Redemption Hits the DVD Shelves on November 25th

Source:  Fox Home Entertainment
24: Redemption

The pulse-pounding countdown gets a jumpstart as 24: Redemption, the unprecedented feature-length event from television's most provocative and suspenseful series, arrives on DVD November 25th from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, the Tuesday immediately following the network television premiere. 24: Redemption bridges the gap between Seasons 6 and 7 and is the first new material from 24 producers in over a year-and-a-half, the two-hour broadcast special will premiere Sunday, November 23rd on Fox. Audiences last saw Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) literally standing on the precipice of a mountain cliff grappling with the reality that for all his heroics, he'd once more lost the woman he loved. 24: Redemption catches up with Bauer four years later on the African continent where he has sought solace in missionary work. As the action unfolds on the day of the U.S. Presidential Inauguration, he finds himself in the midst of a bloody uprising in the small fictitious African nation of Sangala where a ruthless dictator is drafting innocent children as soldiers in his army. As the vicious warlord descends on an orphanage in search of recruits, Jack enters into a one-man crusade at the behest of a friend to rescue the children and get them to safety.

Filmed on-location in South Africa and Los Angeles, 24: Redemption stars Emmy award-winner Sutherland along with new series cast members Cherry Jones (Signs, The Perfect Storm), Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty, 28 Weeks Later), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal), Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination) and Oscar winner Jon Voight (National Treasure: Book of Secrets) as the malevolent defense contractor Jonas Hodges. The 24: Redemption DVD is highlighted with an exclusive extended cut of the program featuring over ten minutes of never-before-seen footage not shown in the television broadcast, plus additional bonus features including cast/crew commentary, a behind-the-scenes on-location documentary, an exclusive sneak peek at Season 7 including the first 16 minutes of the premiere episode and more! 24: Redemption will be available for a suggested retail price of $26.98 U.S./$37.98 Canada.

Synopsis:
After sacrificing everything for his country, Jack Bauer (Sutherland) stands to lose the only thing he has left - his freedom. Wanted by the U.S. government and working as a missionary in Africa, Bauer is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. But first, Bauer must confront his own torturous past and face an impossible decision that will change his life forever.

DVD Content:
The 24: Redemption DVD is presented in widescreen format (1.78:1 aspect ratio) with English 5.1 Dolby Surround plus English, Spanish and French subtitles. DVD special features include:

So they're not gonna do the tony almeida return storyline? Maybe they'll save it for day 8. Doesn't matter I'm watching anyway.
