Ali: The Director's Cut hits stores this Tuesday

According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Michael Mann has revised his biopic Ali, starring Oscar-nominated Will Smith, for Tuesday's release of the double-disc DVD Ali: The Director's Cut.

Mann removed about 20 minutes of the original film and put in about 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage for the new "Ali: The Director's Cut" DVD feature.

"Simply put, this is a different version of the film," Mann said. "The theatrical version also was a director's cut and that's what I wanted. But this DVD version has a different emphasis, much of that emphasis focused on the political climate of the times and Ali's place in those times and, especially, in Africa."
