Eddie Redmayne Joins ‘Jupiter Ascending’ for the Wachowski Starship

Eddie Redmayne signs on for Jupiter AscendingLes Miserables star Eddie Redmayne is in talks to join the cast of Jupiter Ascending for directors Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski.

The story is set in a future where humans are considered the lowest form of life in the galaxy. Channing Tatum stars as an intergalactic bounty hunter who is sent by the Queen of the Universe to kill an Earth woman (Mila Kunis) whose genetic traits are identical to the Queen's. The plot thickens when the would-be assassin falls for his target. No details were released for Eddie Redmayne's character.

Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski will direct from their own original screenplay, and will also serve as producers. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2013.

Aside from his role in the upcoming Les Miserables, Eddie Redmayne was most recently seen in Hick, My Week with Marilyn, and War Horse.

Jupiter Ascending was released February 6th, 2015.

        @gumperman Agreed. They did an amazing job with Cloud Atlas, and this sounds like Snow White in space, but The Wachowski Brothers (siblings) are Incredible with this kinds of films!

          haha, are the Wachowski's calling themselves the Wachowski Starship now? Otherwise, what does that even mean? Anyways, I will defiantly see this film since I loved Cloud Atlas, even though the plot sounds like Snow White in Space!

              Tatum, Kunis, and the guy who played the guy who failed to bang Marilyn Monroe? Oh, and is if the cast weren't enough, it's the Wachowskis.
