Two young actors have come aboard for a new high school comedy. Variety is reporting that Emma Roberts and Freddie Highmore have joined the cast of Homework.

The film is currently shooting in New York City and also stars Alicia Silverstone, Elizabeth Reaser, Blair Underwood, Rita Wilson, Michael Angarano and Sam Robards. The story centers on Highmore's character, who is strictly opposed to doing homework and who suddenly becomes friends with the girl he has admired from afar (Roberts). It was said that Angarano's character is a recent graduate of the high school while Wilson and Robards will play Highmore's mother and stepfather.

Writer-director Gavin Wiesen is making his feature debut with the film, which was said to wrap production sometime this week.
