According to Variety, Ewan McGregor and Sophie Okonedo are starring in Edward Blum's full-length feature directorial debut Scenes of a Sexual Nature. The comedy explores seven couples' relationships during one afternoon on Hampstead Heath in north London.

Low-budget pic came together very quickly. Blum established production outfit Tin Pan Films in June this year; around £500,000 ($905,000) was raised in six weeks through private investment, and Nature began its three-week shoot July 31 after just three weeks of pre-production.

TV scribe Aschlin Ditta ("The Catherine Tate Show") penned the script (and is working on another project with Blum, Crimebusters). Blum produces with Vadim Jean and Suran Goonatilake exec producing.

Cast includes Catherine Tate, Hugh Bonneville, Andrew Lincoln, Gina McKee, Eileen Atkins, Benjamin Whitrow, Douglas Hodge, Mark Strong, Polly Walker, Adrian Lester, Holly Aird and Tom Hardy.

Blum's short "The Last Post" was nominated for a BAFTA film award in 1996. He also directed TV shows ("The Bill") and produced docs for the BBC and Channel 4.
