I just got off the phone with the always-awesome Craig Robinson for tomorrow's new release Hot Tub Time Machine which arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on June 29. Towards the end of the interview, I also asked Robinson about any future projects he has on his plate, and he mentioned a brand new project he has in the works called The Pretender.

"There's a movie called The Pretender that we're looking at making this year, should everything go well," Robinson told me. "It was written by Jeremy Garelick, who wrote The Break-Up and did a punch-up on The Hangover. We're trying to make that happen."

I asked him if he could tell us a bit more about this new film, and he said it was set in the boxing world.

"It's about a boxer," he said. "I play the role of Honey B. Jefferson. I don't want to give it away. I don't know how to talk about it without giving it away because I'm really not supposed to talk about it."

When asked if the project was being shopped around at the moment, Robinson wouldn't give any specifics, other than it was being set up... somewhere.

"Well, it was... man, that's too much business. I don't want to get into all that because I don't want to sound like an idiot. It supposedly has a home."

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on The Pretender as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, you can watch the hilarious Craig Robinson in Hot Tub Time Machine when it arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on June 29. Peace in. Gallagher out!
