Many cried foul (and other obscenities) when it was announced that Sam Raimi's 1981 classic The Evil Dead was getting the remake treatment. The tide has certainly turned the other way, with a spate of favorable reviews for Evil Dead, a film that many are calling the most frightening movie of the year. Jane Levy stars as Mia, who heads up to a remote cabin with her friends David (Shiloh Fernandez), Olivia (Jessica Lucas), Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci), and Natalie (Elizabeth Blackmore) for a weekend getaway in director Fede Alvarez's thriller. Their trip takes a drastic turn for the worse when the Book of the Dead is read from, causing an evil presence to possess and haunt them to their very core. Our own Todd Gilcrhist recently sat down with stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Lou Taylor Pucci, and director Fede Alvarez to discuss this terrifying thriller, arriving in theaters April 5. Check out our exclusive interviews with the cast and crew of Evil Dead, and find out who may live to star in the sequel.
