EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Dinner for Schmucks Cast & Crew Interview Featurette
I can't think of two better comedic actors to put a stop to this summer-long comedy drought in theaters than Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, whose new film Dinner for Schmucks opens in theaters nationwide on July 30. While they have both been making us laugh in their unique ways for years, this film shows us new sides to these comedy geniuses that we haven't seen before. Carell takes on the quirkiest character we've ever seen him inhabit in Barry Speck, an IRS employee who spends his free time as a taxidermist... for dead mice. Rudd, on the other hand, plays Tim Conrad, a financial analyst who's trying to move up in the ranks of his firm and finds that he has to partake in a unique company ritual to do so: invite a complete idiot to dinner so everyone can make fun of him. Despite going against his moral code, once he meets Barry (by running him over with his car...) he feels compelled to take this new friend of his to dinner, in a journey that changes both characters in ways neither expected.
Despite these two comedic powerhouses starring in the film, we get an impressive ensemble cast with the likes of Zach Galifianakis, Jemaine Clement, David Walliams, Chris O'Dowd, Bruce Greenwood, Ron Livingston, Larry Wilmore, Stephanie Szostak, Lucy Punch, not to mention the fantastic Jay Roach directing the film, which truly makes Dinner for Schmucks a complete comedic experience in more ways than one.
We were able to speak exclusively with Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Bruce Greenwood, Ron Livingston, Larry Wilmore and director Jay Roach about their new film and you can click on our exclusive interview featurette below to see what they had to say about the film.
