We already knew that 20th Century Fox was looking to go younger with their Fantastic Four reboot, with a report from April that Girls star Allison Williams was being sought for a role, and another story from May that Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan is being considered for Johnny Storm. Today, we have word that Miles Teller, who can be seen this weekend in the indie film The Spectacular Now, is in contention to play Mr. Fantastic himself, Reed Richards.

The actor, who also starred in 21 & Over this spring and is currently shooting Divergent, is said to be the top choice for the flexible Reed Richards, after meeting with director Josh Trank. However, no offers have been made, as there is still work to do on the screenplay. We reported in February that Seth Grahame-Smith was brought on to do the latest rewrite, but it isn't known if the studio is seeking out other writers as well.

Last month, we reported that production is scheduled to take place in Louisiana sometime next month, although, with no cast members officially signed on yet, it isn't known if that shooting schedule will stand, or if Fox will push the start date.
