A few weeks ago, Universal's "Fast Fridays" video gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the first day on Fast and Furious 8 where all of the main cast members from Dom's crew were together on set. With production continuing, Universal Pictures has debuted a new photo with several of these cast members together. Included in this photo is Charlize Theron's villainous Cipher and our first look at Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju, who plays one of Cipher's henchmen.

This new photo from Universal's high-octane sequel also features Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw, Kurt Russell as Mr. Nobody, Tyrese Gibson as Roman, Vin Diesel as Dom, Michelle Rodriguez as Leti, Ludacris as Tej, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey and Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs. With production recently taking place in Cuba and Cleveland, we're not exactly sure where this set photo is taken, but we'll be sure to keep you posted with more updates. It isn't known how long shooting is expected to last on Fast and Furious 8, under the direction of F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton).

This photo comes just a few days after an insane video from the Cleveland set showcased an explosive garage stunt. While we don't know which actors were a part of this Cleveland shoot, the brief video showcased numerous cars being dropped out of a parking garage and exploding on impact on the street below. No details were given about where this scene fits within the story, but it certainly teases that this sequel could just be the most explosive yet in this high-octane franchise.

The story will primarily take place in New York, with production set for the Big Apple, Atlanta and Russia. The crew has already shot in Cuba and now in Iceland. The sequel already made headlines for a bizarre incident that took place this past March in the country, when gale force winds sent a prop iceberg flying, striking and killing a local horse that wasn't part of the production. None of the major cast members were present at the time of this accident.

The Fast & Furious 8 cast also includes Scott Eastwood and Lucas Black, and there have been rumors that 2 Fast 2 Furious star Eva Mendes is coming back to play U.S. Customs Agent Monica Fuentes, but that hasn't been confirmed quite yet. F. Gary Gray is directing from a script by Chris Morgan, with Universal already setting an April 14, 2017 release date. This movie will be the first installment of the final trilogy, with Fast & Furious 9 (April 19, 2019) and Fast & Furious 10 (April 2, 2021) closing out the franchise. While we wait for more details, take a look at this new ast photo below for Fast & Furious 8.
