Peter Jackson has launched his final video blog for 2013, looking back at the music for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Visit composer Howard Shore's studio in New York, where he discusses the score for this middle installment of the trilogy. Go behind-the-scenes for a complete look at how the soundtrack came together, and a special message from director Peter Jackson as he heads into the New Year, and prepares for the release of The Hobbit: There and Back Again, which hits theaters December 2014.
