The story centers on the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson), whose plane is shot down by terrorists. He teams up with a 13-year-old boy (Onni Tommila) to survive in the wilderness and evade those who want him dead. Jim Broadbent, Ray Stevenson and Mehmet Kurtulus also star.

Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale) is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Petri Jokiranta, who is also producing with Will Clarke, Andy Mayson, Jens Meurer. Alex Garland (Dredd 3D) is serving as executive producer.

Here's what writer-director Jalmari Helander had to say about the project in a statement.

"Big Game is an action adventure story on an epic scale. I'm delighted to be taking this genre on as it has always been very close to my heart, as action-packed adventure stories contain the elements that I believe make movies that are worth watching."

Big Game comes to theaters June 26th, 2015.
