The fourth and final season of the spy thriller drama, Killing Eve is coming to TV and Hulu on February 27th. With only eight episodes left, it is almost time to say goodbye to TV’s favorite deadly assassin and M16 agent. On Dec. 28th, a final 30-second teaser for the show was released which revealed a very ominous ending. It showed Villanelle and Eve standing back to back with Carolyn’s (Fiona Shaw) voiceover saying, "Do you ever think what might have happened if we didn't do what we did? People like us aren't made for happy lives or happy endings." This was followed by a recap of season three which involved an immense amount of stabbing, fighting, and killing as per usual. Carolyn also makes an appearance, spitting at someone or something off-camera. The teaser ended with a discouraged Villanelle walking by herself and Eve offering her a ride on her mobility scooter.

In addition to that, Kim Bodnia who plays Konstantin Vasiliev, Villanelle's handler, is most likely to get killed off this season. According to the teaser, he is seen being thrown into a body of water by an unrevealed figure. As Villanelle spent the majority of season 3 trying to kill him and his family, this doesn’t seem like an impossible outcome. The teaser also disclosed a brief look at some new faces, though not much is given away as to who they are and how they fit into the story.

Season three ended with Eve and Villanelle walking away from each other and promising never to contact each other again. However, that promise was easily tainted as both looked back at one another, perhaps hinting at a reunion. Season three also had some uncomfortable and sad moments such as the death of Kenny Stowton, Carolyn’s son, as well as Eve’s helper and friend.

"Eve and Villanelle, having left each other in total turmoil on Tower Bridge at the end of season 3, are thrown into season 4 trying to figure out what they mean to each other and what their lives now stand for.” The show's executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle teased on what to expect for the final season. "And while Carolyn has shot a man in cold blood, she is trying to find out who is responsible for the hit on her son. This one is going to be a lot more personal and passionate than the seasons before."

Killing Eve stars Sandra Oh as Eve Polastri and Jodie Comer as Villanelle. As Eve is tasked with taking down Villanelle, the two start a cat and mouse chase and become mutually obsessed with one another. They even share a kiss on a bus seconds after they were fighting one another. Based on the Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings, the show was created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) who also served as a head writer for the first season. The second season’s head writer was Emerald Fennell (Promising Yong Woman). The third season Suzanne Heathcote and the fourth season Laura Neal. Waller-Bridge, Oh, Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Gina Mingacci, and Damon Thomas also executive produce the last season.

You can catch Eve and Villanelle one last time on Sunday, Feb. 27 on BBC America, and catch up on seasons 1-3 streaming now on Hulu.
