In the film, a love triangle forms between the legendary do-gooder Robin Hood, his Maid Marian and the archer's arch nemesis, the Sheriff of Nottingham. Crowe stars as the Sheriff of Nottingham in a scenario that sees him more noble lawman than an evil king's right-hand man and facing off with a more shadier Robin Hood in the Sherwood Forest.

I just love the premise that the sheriff is the good guy and that Robin Hood is the bad guy. I always wanted to see a Robin Hood movie that was from the sheriff's point of view, not really changing the story, just the sheriff telling the tale in a way that puts him in the good light. This is close enough for me. I really look forward to it.

Sweet! It's about time another epic like this was done! I like his acting, it's too bad Russell Crowe is a tool.

Lol, I cant tell by the trailer. Look at the two trailers one of Gladiator and one of Robin Hood, and the difference is pretty clear. Also, this has nothing to do with defying an empire, nor anything to do with gladiators period. This is a loose Kingdom of Heaven spinoff. He said so himself.

Fallen, how the hell would you know? This is from what i see from not seeing Robin Hood. You haven't even seen the damn movie and you already know the f*cking feeling of it. Bullsh*t pal. Death Race was compared to Gamer and there's no games in Death Race. So, just because the settings are different doesn't mean sh*t.

And FYI this and Gladiator have totally different feels. Different settings, different type of filming (cinematography) and such. This is a loose spin-off of Kingdom of Heaven, also having been at the time period of King Richard the Lionheart. Ridley even stated. So once again this has a far more rugged and personal feel, than the vastness of the plot behind Gladiator.

Lol, it's like they took the whole Gladiator movie, refilmed it and replaced the title with Robin Hood.

Lol. Kevin Costners Robin Hood, was a fail. Very cheesy and corny. Very lacking in story. Lol. That rhymes.

I am glad to see that Russel Crow is back and kicking ass i am but this film im gonna have to hold out on and see, the trailer really didn't do much for me, My favorite characters by him to date is Sid 6.0 and Maxmius, In my opinion Kevin Costner's Robin Hood was a classic.

Crazy cool. Just wished they showed more story and such on the trailer, but then again this is Robin Hood. But yeah the music needs some musical score.

Also, I didn't know he's still playing the Sheriff. I thought he changed to Robin Hood.?
