First ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Clip Gives Whoopi Goldberg Disturbing News

The first clip from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has finally been unveiled! Sadly, it continues no ninja or turtle action. Instead, we are introduced to Whoopi Goldberg's character Bernadette Thompson. Meet April O'Neil's boss at Channel 5 News as she receives some very disturbing information about four talking turtles roaming the streets of New York. Asking Megan Fox if there is anything else she should know about these friendly monsters, the field reporter declares, 'They're teenagers. And they do karate.'

The girl must be trippin'!

Along with this first clip comes another TV spot, offering a few quick, new action scenes along with another introduction to "the leader, the brains, the rebel and Mikey" as they hit the streets of New York looking to keep the people safe from The Foot Clan.

Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil and her cameraman Vern Fenwick.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was released August 8th, 2014.
