Throughout its first season, The CW's hit show The Flash brought in a slew of characters from the DC Comics, and even one character from the original 1990 TV series. Mark Hamill reprised his role as James Jesse, a.k.a. The Trickster, in the Season 1 episode Tricksters, where he helped Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) foil city-wide attacks by a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original's deadly footsteps. With Season 2 just getting under way, ComicBook.com has confirmed that Mark Hamill will be back as the Trickster in the new season.

It hasn't been confirmed when this con man character will make his debut in The Flash Season 2, but Mark Hamill was recently spotted on The Flash set. In last season's Tricksters, it was revealed that this copycat Trickster, Axel Walker, played by Devon Graye, was actually James Jesse's son, who was working with his father the whole time. After Axel broke his father out of prison, they teamed up to poison attendees of Mayor Antony Bellows' (Vito D'Ambrosio) fundraiser, stating they would only give everyone the antidote in exchange for all of their money. Despite the Tricksters' attaching a bomb to Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) wrist, The Flash managed to save everyone at the fundraiser and bring both of the Tricksters to jail.

It hasn't been confirmed yet if Devon Graye will be back as Axel Walker, but we'll have to wait and see if father and son will team up once again in Season 2. Tony Todd has joined the cast this season as the voice of main villain Zoom, with other new casting additions including Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Michael Ironside playing Lewis Snart, Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot, Violett Beane as Jesse Quick, Demore Barnes as Henry Hewitt and Adam Copeland, a.k.a former WWE Superstar Edge as Atom Smasher. The show will also feature two characters from the midseason series DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Falk Hentschel's Hawkman and Casper Crump's Vandall Savage.

Season 2 continues tomorrow night with Flash of Two Worlds, which will feature new characters such as Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick and Shantel VanSanten as Patty Spivot. Other characters returning from last season include Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and his sister, the Golden Glider (Peyton List). Tom Cavanagh will also return as Harrison Wells/Reverse Flash, but the producers have already confirmed that he won't be interacting with Barry Allen, since he was sent away to Earth-2 in the season finale.

Mark Hamill will next be seen on the big screen in the highly-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters on December 18. He has also been confirmed to lend his voice to The Joker in the animated movie Batman: The Killing Joke, and he will return as Luke Skywalker once again in 2017's Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is currently in production. Are you excited to see Mark Hamill return to The Flash this season?
