Fox announced late Monday that they are canceling their dinosaur drama, Terra Nova. The studio brought in drama veteran Edward Allen Bernero in an attempt to reignite the show, but they ultimately decided to pass on the expensive project which was filmed in Australia.

Although the show has no future at Fox, it's currently being shopped around to other networks by 20th Century Fox Television.

The cancellation of the show is likely to draw attention to the renewal of Fox's other dramas, Alcatraz and The Finder. The project was produced by Steven Spielberg and Peter Chernin.

Terra Nova followed the Shannons, an ordinary family from 2149 when the planet is dying who are transported back 85 million years to prehistoric Earth where they join Terra Nova, a colony of humans with a second chance to build a civilization.
