According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is taking another stab at launching a late-night talk show franchise with Talk Show With Spike Feresten. The network has picked up the pilot fronted by writer Spike Feresten to series for the fall to air Saturday nights from midnight to 12:30 a.m., following the network's sketch comedy Mad TV.

Spike Feresten adds a few twists to the traditional late-night talk show format, including having guests deliver the monologue and participate in comedy sketches. In addition to in-studio and field sketches, the show, featuring a live studio audience, also will include mock commercials and pop-culture parodies.
