According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox, Hyde Park Entertainment and producers Matthew Baer and Frank Spotnitz are teaming on a remake of Fox's 1983 film The Star Chamber.

The film marks the studios' first joint project since Hyde Park signed a five-year, first-look production and distribution deal with Fox in July.

In the original, Michael Douglas starred as an idealistic judge who, frustrated by having to let dangerous criminals go free because of legal loopholes, joins a secret society of judges bent on taking justice and punishment into their own hands.
