Benderspink has optioned a screenplay co-written by Ahmet Zappa entitled Monster X, a horror ensemble in the same vein as Marvel's The Avengers featuring a number of genre icons.

The story features classic creatures such as Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, Mr. Hyde, and seven others, who join forces to take on a massive threat to humanity. The title Monster X is also a nod to the 10 monsters featured in the story, since X is the Roman numeral for 10. Ahmet Zappa co-wrote the original script with an unnamed writer. Benderspink plans to develop the screenplay further before shopping the project to potential buyers.

Ahmet Zappa will also produce alongside Chris Bender, J.C. Spink, and Jake Weiner. Ahmet Zappa produced last year's The Odd Life of Timothy Green, and is currently developing another monster-themed project, Monster Witness Relocation Program, for Disney. No production schedule was given for this monstrous ensemble.
