Freddie Highmore, the cute and talented young boy from such films as Finding Neverland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is all grown up and stepping into the very adult role of Alfred Hitchcock's Norman Bates in Bates Motel, which premieres this Monday, March 18th with "First You Dream, Then You Die", only on A&E.

This new drama series is a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho, and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' psyche unravels through his teenage years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother Norma truly is. The series also stars Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga.
