FX's brand new fantasy football league series is gearing up for another draft next season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, FX has renewed The League with a 13-episode second season order.

The ratings have been decent for the network, averaging about 1 million viewers per episode during its first five episodes. The sixth episode and first season premiere will air tomorrow night.

"We've been very pleased with the creative and ratings trajectory of The League and believe it's an excellent fit with our comedy brand," FX executive vp programming Nick Grad said. "Jackie and Jeff Schaffer are incredibly talented producers, and the ensemble cast is fantastic. The performance of the show this season is reminiscent of Sunny in its first season."

The second season will debut just in time for football season, in the late summer of 2010.
