I will say, I still stand by that the move was smart... partly based on fear, last year John Carter and Battleship tanked and they opened clear of other big movies... but this was originally slated to open between Avengers, Spiderman and TDKR.... it would have gotten ripped to shreds at the box office

@felipe-11 I believe the reason for it was because the first movie was so despised by fans of the cartoons, especially in it's casting, I myself disliked pretty much all the casting, I felt like the best characters were Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow... which remains true, as for Joe's who had speaking roles, Marlon Wayans played the only likeable role in that first film.. everyone else was just annoying and flat... especially Quaid as General Hawk... but they pretty much cleaned the slate and kept the actors playing Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Destro, Duke and one more I'm forgetting... again it seemed mainly due to fan reaction and their own admittance that they basically cast the 'young pretty' and miscast Joseph Gordon levitt... great actor, just doesn't fit that role IMO

My interest in this movie has died down so much. I couldn't even care less about it anymore.

Cobra commander is definitely improved but it seems they are limiting him in the trailers and he has not had any vocal parts so far. I wonder how much of a presence he will have in this movie.

I hope when the movie comes out on DVD/Blu, we get to see the original (and likely better) cut.

While the movie still looks pretty good, it was so pointless for the greedy studios to convert the film into 3D for no reason.

I appreciate all those special effects; that sh*t is not easy. Anyways this looks pretty good. Not as good as the first, but I'll still see it.

@john-m Actually Paramount is the company releasing this, so they are the ones to blame. I agree too, they defiantly wasted money and time converting the film to 3D, and for re-shoots with Tatum. I was really looking forward to seeing this when it was supposed to be released in June, but my interest has been lowering ever since they made the horrible decision to push back the release date and, I also agree, this new trailer doesn't change my lowering interest one bit. Well, not a change for the positive that is, it just helps lower it.

@youngrizo I find it strange that they were going to have so little of Duke in the first place, I mean Channing was unknown back when the 1st one came out, and now that he's pretty much a household name (whether you like him or hate him) they decided to have him in for just a few minutes? Never made much sense to me...

Anyway, from the first couple of trailers for this one I thought for sure it'd be better than the first (there was an obvious change in style), but this new trailer looks a lot like the first film, which is not a good thing...

@felipe-11 Again, this goes without saying, the hype is definitely gone for most of us. But the delay was for reshoots after their initial screenings brought them a lot of backlash for killing of Tatum's Duke and possibly replacing him with Flint.

I agree i have little to no excitement and the music choice in this trailer is horrendous. but the actual movie may be better off for all they have done. My immediate fear is only to how much they might have rewritten to fit Tatum in.

@john-m Reshoots for this one in particular it was revealed was due to reactions they got from screenings. So to that end there is hope that they can do it right.

@felipe-11 Agreed, the rap music worked on those trailers, but this movie will be even worse than the first film, the CGI is overused I want a reboot, with a good director and script!

Awful trailer, I was pumped for this movie back when it was suposed to come out, now I couldn't care less about it. They're sure as hell not getting my money.

@youngrizo@Roberto-Mata While I do think the rap in this particular trailer is awful and completely unnecessary, sometimes rap actually goes very well on trailers. Eminem on the Mission Imposible 4 trailer, The Game on the Contraband trailer, Jay-Z on the Gangster Squad trailer just to name a few... It works as long as it's tastefully done, but what taste can you expect from people who delayed a movie a whole year for a few extra bucks?

@bawnian-dexeus do you feel this movie is still relevant after it was delayed so long? I think it will be much better than part 1 but lots of fans and moviegoers are not happy with the delay. I will say this Ted benefited from it.

Im pretty pissed that Dennis Quaid didnt come back as hawk, He is like the main guy with duke right under him, then snake eyes and so on. This movie looks better than the first but is missing alot of keys like wayans as Ripcord, Scarlett, Heavy Duty, Cover Girl, Baroness, Breaker ect.

I can understand So many characters couldnt fit in such film, but when your working on something that needs them such as gi joe, you just cant act like they dont exist. The damn ass director was about to kill off duke, that would of been the biggest mistake of his life. im glad he went back to fix that., or at least i hope so.

Im really not to fussed about this movie, there is just too much happening next year for anyone to give this movie any attention. I just want Jon M Chu or Chu Chi to finish this and lets see what he's going to do for Masters of the Universe
