If Marvel's looking to bring Ghost Rider back into the fray anytime soon, Gabriel Luna is ready to rev up. Previously, Luna played the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider in the ABC series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., though it's not entirely clear if the show is set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At one point, Luna was set to star in his own Ghost Rider spinoff series at Hulu, but the streamer ultimately decided not to move forward with the show.

Lately, the Ghost Rider discussions have been heating back up. There are rumors of Marvel Studios looking to cast a new actor for the next Ghost Rider, and fans of The Walking Dead have been pushing for Norman Reedus to get the part. The artist BossLogic noticed the rumors and tweeted some fan art of Luna's Ghost Rider, feeling that there's more to do with Robbie Reyes in the MCU. Luna retweeted the artwork with a skull emoji surrounded by flames, adding the hashtag #stayreadysoyoudonthavetogetready.

Because of these Ghost Rider rumors, there have been many fans pushing for Keanu Reeves to play the character in the MCU. While Reeves didn't specifically say he'd play Ghost Rider, he recently said that it'd be "an honor" to join the MCU. The John Wick star noted, "There's some really amazing directors and visionaries, and they're doing something that no one's really ever done. It's special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it would be cool to be a part of that."

Previously, it was Nicolas Cage who brought Ghost Rider to life on the big screen. He played Johnny Blaze in the 2007 film which also starred Eva Mendes. It was a hit at the box office, prompting the 2012 sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. The rights have since reverted back to Marvel, but the studio has been taking their time with bringing Ghost Rider back to theaters. With all of these continued rumors swirling, there has even been talk of the character showing up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, perhaps even with Cage reprising his version. The events of Spider-Man: No Way Home have made it clear that anything is possible.

As for Gabriel Luna, the actor is currently busy with another major role. He will be playing Tommy, the brother of Pedro Pascal's Joel, in the upcoming HBO series The Last of Us. Based on the popular video game of the same name, The Last of Us is set in a post-apocalyptic world where Tommy and Joel are among the last survivors on Earth. Bella Ramsey also stars as Ellie, a teenage girl escorted by Joel in the story. The series is currently filming and is expected to arrive on HBO sometime in 2022 with no release date currently set.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens with Ghost Rider in the MCU, but chances are we will see the character soon enough. The fan art above comes to us from BossLogic.
