Ever since Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman, many fans have voiced their concern that the actress is too slight of frame for such a glorified comic book icon. To rest weary minds, personal trainer Mark Twight has been assigned the task of getting Gadot in shape for the role.

The actress just started her daunting daily task of transforming her body for the hugely anticipated movie. She moved back to her home country of Israel, where she is currently undergoing an intense workout program.

Mark Twight is the same trainer responsible for getting Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon and Antje Traue prepped and ready for Man of Steel.

While shooting on Batman Vs. Superman begins next month for a 2015 release date, Gal Gadot reportedly only has an extended cameo in the upcoming sequel, which will focus primarily on the relationship between Bruce Wayne and Kal-El. The actress will use her downtime to continue training, with the goal of achieving a physique that remains true to the iconic DC Comics character while still fitting into this more realistic universe. The character may not have much screen time in this follow-up to Man of Steel, but we will definitely be seeing more of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the future.

Part of the former Miss Israel's training not only involves intense physical preparation, but also martial arts training and various forms of self-defense. Gal Gadot is a former Israeli military soldier, and already has extensive weapons and fighting training under her belt. She is a professional motorcyclist as well.
