We're exactly one month away from getting new Game of Thrones episodes, and the anticipation is stronger than ever. To celebrate the impending release of Season 6, HBO has unleashed a brand new sneak peek at this return to Westeros. Today, we get to go behind-the-scenes with the White Walkers! And it's a special treat you don't want to miss.

This exciting featurette introduces us to the make-up artists who help bring this fantasy world alive. Based on the popular book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, the hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. Returning to the cast are Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Aidan Gillen, Kit Harington, Diana Rigg, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner. Some of the new characters debuting this season include Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven, Ian McShane in an unspecified role and Pilou Asbæk, who has been rumored to be playing Euron Greyjoy, the uncle of Alfie Allen's Theon Greyjoy. Richard E. Grant and Essie Davis are portraying members of a theater troupe who are putting on a play about famous figures in Westeros, with James Faulkner, Samantha Spiro and Rebecca Benson portraying the father, mother and sister of Samwell Tarly (John Bradley).

David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield are the executive producers. The co-executive producers are Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin. Game of Thrones Season 5 began with a power vacuum that protagonists across Westeros and Essos were looking to fill. At Castle Black, Jon Snow struggled to balance the demands of the Night's Watch with those of newly-arrived Stannis Baratheon, who styles himself the rightful king of Westeros. Meanwhile, Cersei scrabbled to hold on to power in King's Landing amidst the Tyrells and the rise of a religious group led by the enigmatic High Sparrow, while Jaime embarked on a secret mission. Across the Narrow Sea, Arya sought an old friend while a fugitive Tyrion found a new cause. And as danger mounts in Meereen, Daenerys Targaryen found that her tenuous hold on the city requires some hard sacrifices.

Season 6 of Game of Thrones will also be the first that has surpassed the books the series is based on, written by George R.R. Martin. The author's sixth book, The Winds of Winter, still doesn't have a publication date at this time, so both readers of his A Song of Ice and Fire books and viewers of the show are equally in the dark as to what may unfold in Westeros this season. Set for ten new episodes, Game of Thrones season 6 will debut on HBO Sunday, April 24.

A White Walker is an otherworldly humanoid creature. Primarily referred to as the Others in the novels, White Walkers are a supernatural threat to mankind who dwell outside Westeros, north of The Wall. You can take a look at how these monsters come to life in this latest sneak peek. Then go back to anxiously awaiting another sign that Game of Thrones Season 6 is actually going to get here before the entire world implodes!
