Everyone hates spoilers! Due to the way people watch TV and movies now, it's hard to know when it's ok to talk about the latest big reveals. With shows, especially a series like Game of Thrones, for example, even a single spoiler can really ruin the entire experience for someone who has yet to watch the latest episode. So most people that can't watch it right when it airs do the best they can to avoid spoilers. And most people tend to respect that. Well, unfortunately for a random Reddit user, his ex-girlfriend isn't too happy with him and is spoiling the show like clockwork every single week.

The sad sack who is getting Game of Thrones spoiled for him every Monday took to Reddit not to long ago to share his dilemma with the internet, which might not have been the best idea. As it turns out, said Reddit user cheated on his girlfriend while they were still together, and she wasn't very happy about it even though she found out after they broke up. So, she has started spoiling the show for him every single week before he gets to watch it. His Reddit post has since been taken down, but luckily Twitter user Elena Cresci managed to capture the whole thing.

"Dany blocked me on every form of communication when we broke up. But on Monday after season 6 premiered she unblocked me and I saw that I had messages from her. I was excited because I thought maybe she forgave me and maybe we could move on, but it was literally just every spoiler for the first episode."

Dany is not the real name of his ex, as in the beginning of his post he made it clear that was just what he was calling her for the sake of the story. But in any case, Dany has definitely found a way to get the best of her cheating ex. He took to Reddit in order to try and find solutions from people on how to try and get her to stop sending the spoilers and about what he should do. Unfortunately for him, not a whole lot of people felt sympathy for him and either found it funny or went after him for cheating in the first place, so he was forced to take the post down.

"I cheated on my ex during our relationship and she found out shortly after we broke up. She's blocked me on everything, but briefly unblocks me every Monday to send me Game of Thrones spoilers before I can watch it. How can I get her to stop?"

The irony of the story is that in his post, he explains that Dany is the one who introduced him to Game of Thrones in the first place and that is how it became his favorite show. Sadly for him, that means Dany was well aware of that fact and has been able to use it against him in a pretty clever way. Though, it is strange that he had to take to Reddit to try and solve the issue, as he should just be able to block her or just avoid checking any messages from her altogether before he watches the new episode for that week.

In any case, the internet is having a field day with it and for the most part, people seem to be on Dany's side. It is hard to sympathize with a guy who cheated on a girl multiple times, but it is also understandably lame to have a show as exciting as Game of Thrones spoiled every single week. Though in the age of streaming and multiple platforms nobody has quite figured out exact rules for when it is and when it is not acceptable to spoil shows for someone, it is pretty clear this falls in the grey area. Perhaps the lesson here is don't cheat, or if you're this guy and the damage is already done, do your best to watch your favorite show when it airs.
