The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Having survived the beginning of their unexpected journey, the Company continues East, encountering along the way the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders in the treacherous forest of Mirkwood. After escaping capture by the dangerous Wood-elves, the Dwarves journey to Lake-town, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger of all-a creature more terrifying than any other; one which will test not only the depth of their courage but the limits of their friendship and the wisdom of the journey itself-the Dragon Smaug.

These prizes should be mine because I have been a fan of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy since I was 8. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is my favorite movie ever and I absolutely love the amount of work that is put into these movies. I love the soundtrack, the hair and makeup designs, the locations, the cast, etc...

The Hobbit is a beautiful story and I can't wait to see part 3. For me it's even better than The Lord of The Rings.

I was given the book as a child and have introduced so many friends to it along with family members. One of my siblings found it hysterical when we went to see An Unexpected Journey and I was practically vibrating in my seat the whole movie, just the same as I was for this one.

"Is it nice, my preciousss? Is it juicy? Is it scrumptiously crunchable?" J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

Yes, I do believe it is & these prizes must be mine because I have been a fan of LOTR for most of my life.

I have all the books & accompaniments including the LOTR Vol 1 game which I have been playing forever. Everyone calls it (along with the old Nintendo) so "old school" but to me it is not. There are not many movies I watch more than once or purchase to repeat watch but LOTR has been bought & watched thousands of times then compared to the books & this one will be no exception.

The excellent writings by J.R.R Tolkien, the screenplay by the Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson & Guillermo del Toro , the magical work of Peter Jackson & phenomenal character work by all the actors & actresses, the pre & post production work all working in unison make this a truly wonderful, alive & magical experience not just once but every time.

Off to build my own Hobbit Slam at Denny's now, those Sweet Potato Pecan Pancakes & a side of Radagast's Red Velvet Pancake Puppies used as desert are the best along with Bard's Pumpkin Pie Milkshake! Smaug's fire burger is lunch tomorrow & off course gonna have the rest of the menu as well!

Because The Hobbit book saved my life as a teen, providing escapism in difficult times and introduced me to the love of books and of Tolkien. The book will always hold a special place in my heart and on my bookshelf. And I am now happily a Creative Writing MA holder aiming to be the next J.R.R Tolkien of our time.

I am such a great fan of The HOBBIT. Christmas will be celebrating under the theme "Hobbit". That is the reason why I decorated everything like you were in Hobbiton and the children got a huge mountain of golden thalers with a little dragon on the peak because they should not eat too much of chocolate. The only thing that is missing, is a Christmas present for me that has to do with "The Hobbit". So wouldn't it be nice if Gandalf bring me something instead of Santa? :)

Because Tolkien did a profound job writing the Hobbit which Peter Jackson magnified and rekindled the great epic story that is both profound and filled with wisdom. The prize should be mine because I appreciate this great work and I support it :)

I grew up reading LOTR novels and when the first film came out i fell in love with the characters all over again. Then i heard that they were going to make The hobbit in to films also. i was super excited. these stories got me through some my High School years. i was never the popular kid i escaped the torment of school in books and fell in love with Tolkin. I would love this prize pack and i would share it with my Children and hope they will love the stories as much as i had
