Joaquin Phoenix stars as a meek, lonely man, stepping out of self-imposed isolation after a failed marriage, who forms an unconventional connection with a sophisticated computer operating system, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. Critics and audiences alike were dazzled at its debut as the closing night film at the New York Film Festival as well as at the Rome Film Festival, AFI Fest and as it has been screened for press across the U.S. and Canada.
