Rise of the villains? Indeed. The very popular Fox drama Gotham is adding yet another iconic DC Comics villain to its already overflowing roster of classic bad guys. Eduardo Flamingo will be making his entrance on the show soon. And up and coming actor Raúl Castillo is the man hired to bring this character to life.

Raúl Castillo is best known for his role on the HBO dramatic comedy series Looking. He will make his debut as Eduardo Flamingo in the ninth episode of Gotham Season 2. In a town overtaken by corrupt and extremely dangerous lunatics, Eduardo emerges as one very dangerous hitman. Killing isn't just a job for this brut. No! It's a lifestyle.

Eduardo Flamingo will arrive in truly flamboyant style. He comes armed with a spiked chain. He also has a strong appetite for flesh. Weirdest of all, he likes to rock out to the Reverend Horton Heat, Gin Gilette and The Polecats as he presents himself as Gotham's first rockabilly assassin. As Season 2 continues, he'll become one of Detective Jim Gordon's trickiest assailants.

Variety Latino just named Raúl Castillo one of the top 10 Latinos to watch. He'll next be seen reprising his role as Richie Donado in the upcoming Looking special on HBO, which will wrap up the recently canceled series. He also stars in the Netflix original movie Special Correspondents, written, starring and directed by Ricky Gervais.

Ben McKenzie, who stars on Gotham as Jim Gordon, already teased that Flamingo was coming to the mean streets of a town torn apart by corruption. He dropped the news during a visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers this past week. He also compared Gotham Season 1 to Muppet Babies as it introduced the origin stories for a lot of DC characters. He then said Gotham Season 2 is more like the 1988 horror movie Child's Play. Other villains coming to the show this year include Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Clayface and the Mad Hatter.
