Last night, The CW aired a half-hour special entitled Justice League where DC's Geoff Johns and director Kevin Smith shed some new light on the films leading up to Justice League Part 1 and Justice League Part 2. The most anticipated part of this special was the debut of the second Suicide Squad trailer, but before the trailer arrived, we also got another glimpse of the highly-anticipated Suicide Squad, along with a preview of the long-awaited Green Lantern Corps., which doesn't hit theaters until 2020. Geoff Johns confirmed that Green Lantern Corps. will in fact be part of the Justice League with a brief statement, which you can check out below.

"We've been to these cities, we've been underwater, but there's one place we haven't been to: space. But now we are. So the Green Lanterns and the Green Lantern Corps. are coming to join the Justice League universe."

Last night, we showed you other previews from this special that showcased Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg, all of whom were seen on new concept art featuring every Justice League member, except the members of the Green Lantern Corps.. We don't know quite yet which members of Green Lantern Corps. will be most prominently featured in the two-part Justice League movie, but with production scheduled to begin at the end of this year, hopefully we'll find out more details very soon.

The Suicide Squad preview features brief interviews with stars Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), and even Jared Leto, who reveals that his iconic character The Joker is not someone who should be messed with. Geoff Johns also reveals that The Joker "isn't exactly" a member of this squad, which explains why he wasn't pictured as part of the group in the new poster that debuted yesterday.

As for Green Lantern Corps., the brief glimpses of concept art teases several different characters who take up the Green Lantern mantel, but no casting announcements have been made yet. There have previously been rumors that the movie will feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart, two of the most well-known characters to play the Emerald Crusader, but no details have been confirmed quite yet. While we wait for more details on how they fit into the Justice League, check out these previews for both Suicide Squad and Green Lantern Corps. below.
