When Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice kicks off next month, it will introduce almost every member of the Justice League, before they reunite in Justice League Part 1. Aside from Batman v Superman heroes Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), the movie will introduce Justice League members Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), but it doesn't seem that any of the Green Lantern Corps. will put in an appearance, since no one has been officially cast yet. Comic Book Resources recently spoke with Lucifer star D.B. Woodside, who revealed that he wants to play John Stewart in the movie.

There have been rumors that Green Lantern Corps will feature both Hal Jordan and John Stewart, along with numerous other Green Lantern characters, but as of now, nothing has been confirmed, and no one has been cast yet. Actors such as Tyrese Gibson and Lance Gross have expressed their interest in playing John Stewart in the past, and at last year's Comic Con, D.B. Woodside showed up to the Lucifer panel wearing a Green Lantern t-shirt. The actor revealed that Green Lantern was always one of his favorite characters, and that he decided to wear that particular t-shirt for a very specific reason.

"The whole series and the characters have always been one of my favorites. I grew up as a comic-book guy, so I love these characters. We're living in a superhero bubble right now that I am hoping will never burst. And, maybe I was wearing a Green Lantern t-shirt because I'm trying to get into the minds over at DC as they are looking for their Green Lantern. 'Open up and take a look at some others out here in Los Angeles.' That was my cheeky way of trying to influence them."

Green Lantern Corps. won't hit theaters until 2020, and we don't know for sure if Hal Jordan, John Stewart, or any other Green Lantern characters will pop up in Justice League Part 1, which starts production this April. If so, it's possible we could hear a casting announcement soon, but we don't know for sure if the studio is actively casting this iconic role yet. D.B. Woodside revealed that he hasn't auditioned for the role, but he's most definitely interested.

"Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to audition for any of those movies. That's why I was going with the Green Lantern t-shirt and trying to let people know I am very interested in that world. I would love to play Green Lantern. There are so many other fascinating characters out there in the DC Universe, as well as Marvel. I would relish the opportunity to play one of those guys."

Warner Bros. hasn't attached a write or director for Green Lantern Corps., but the studio still has plenty of time to make a decision, since it won't hit theaters for more than four years. Aside from his role as Amenadiel on Lucifer, D.B. Woodside has appeared on Suits, Single Ladies and 24. Do you think he'd be a good choice to play John Stewart in Green Lantern Corps.?
