Greg and Colin Strause have signed on to direct Alien vs. Predator 2 for 20th Century Fox.

Variety doesn't list any details on the plotline for the film, however, plans are to have a bigger battle between the two monster figures.

Shane Salerno, who made the final re-write on the original, has written the script for AVP 2. Shooting is scheduled to begin in September; a summer 2007 release has been set.
