Just because Ronan the Accuser appeared to (SPOILER!!) die at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't mean his soul isn't floating through the cosmos looking for another host body. Just recently, Lee Pace revealed that he'd love to return in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, however unlikely that sounded at the time. Now, in a special Q&A with James Gunn for the DVD and Blu-ray release of this Marvel blockbuster, the director does say that Ronan may return...At some point! But it definitely won't be in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (unless he's planning a sneaky surprise).

James Gunn broke the news during his Facebook session. You can check out the entire commentary: CLICK HERE. People have really responded to Lee Pace and his character, enough so that two people had to ask the same question.

In his previous interview, Lee Pace proclaimed his love for the Ronan character, so it's probably a little disappointing for the actor that he's not being asked to come back (this time). He did say he would return in a heartbeat. That doesn't seem to be happening though, as James Gunn has his sights set on a much different villain this time out.
