Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most visually stunning movies being released this summer, and truly utilizes it's 3D in ways no other movie has before. There is a lot to see, as this Marvel Phase Two adventure washes over the audience. And as stated before, it contains more Marvel characters, cameos and references than any other movie before it. Taking it all in on the first, second, maybe even the third viewing is impossible. There are just way too many Easter eggs to be discovered, littered throughout its 2 hour run time. But eagle-eyed fans will want to pay close attention to The Collector's Museum, where a great number of fun and exciting antiquities await!

Stop reading now if you don't want to know anymore: Major SPOILERS!!! await all who continue on...

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Benicio Del Toro plays The Collector, a strange white-haired alien who lives inside of Knowhere, hording away all of the galaxies most unique and rare items. He wants to add a mysterious orb to his collection, and when Star-Lord and Gamora arrive to deliver it, we get to see inside his museum, which is packed with antiquities. The very first of which we see is...Howard the Duck! Also spotted in this room are the dog Cosmo from the Guardians of the Galaxy comic books, a Dark Elf from Thor: The Dark World, and a Chitauri from Marvel's The Avengers, along with a few other fun Marvel movie references. But it doesn't stop there...

Speaking with /film, director James Gunn teases,

"There's a lot of stuff in the Collector's Museum. And for me, it was mostly just really fun. As a Marvel fan, giving the actual fans something that they can freeze frame on their Blu-Ray at home and just kind of pick out everything that's in there. So there are, I mean, seriously all those boxes have something interesting in them, so it's pretty fun.

Marvel president and producer of the movie Kevin Feige also got in on the fun, hinting that you may see something from beyond the Marvel universe inside the Collector's museum, including a space slug that will be quite recognizable to James Gunn fans,

"I think there are a number [of Easter eggs] in the Collector's lab for sure. I mean, there's Cosmo, which is the obvious one. Which everybody sees. But there are a lot of things in there. There's Dark Elf in there. There's a Chitauri in there. There's a Slither reference in there. Did you see that? From his movie.

It's the scene that was, you know, that we always wanted to do. The Collector. And we wanted to use him the way we use him in there. But as it came time to fill all those things, it became crazy, crazy potential."

Let us know if you spot anything else hiding inside The Collector's Museum when you see Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters this weekend!
