Director Guillermo del Toro dropped an interesting piece of information at the Rome Film Festival, where he said that Warner Bros. has an all-encompassing plan for the entire DC Comics universe over all mediums, which his Justice League Dark (a.k.a. Dark Universe) project must fit into. Take a look at the filmmaker's video interview, then read on to see what he had to say on the red carpet.

"We're still on (Justice League Dark), writing, and hopefully it will happen but there are no developments that are new. We're still at Warner Bros., they are making plans for the entire DC universe. All the superheroes, all the mythologies, and part of that is Justice League Dark. They're planning on TV, movies, and all the media, so we have to fit within that plan."

Back in March, we reported that Justice League Dark will include DC heroes such as John Constantine, Swamp Thing, The Demon, Deadman, The Spectre, Zatara and Zatanna. Guillermo del Toro is working on the script with a mystery writer who hasn't been identified yet.

The filmmaker also gave an update on his haunted house thriller Crimson Peak.

"It's a ghost story set in turn-of-the-century America and England, with Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam. It's sort of a traditional ghost story, but it has a couple of strange things, and the ghosts are very, very unique looking. I hope people will be surprised with how they look."
