Last week, actress Halle Berry said she was 90% certain she will return as Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Today, Bryan Singer confirms she is officially signed for this Marvel sequel, which will reunite nearly every on-screen Mutant seen in the franchise thus far.
As per the norm, Bryan Singer made the casting announcement via his Twitter page earlier today.
"Yeah, I'm really happy to. I love Storm and I'm happy I get to be a part of it this time."
Halle Berry played Storm in 2000's X-Men, 2003's X2: X-Men United, and 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. Many of that first trilogy's stars have been confirmed for X-Men: Days of Future Past, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, and Anna Paquin.
Bryan Singer is directing from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg, which is based on a comic book arc written by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. The story presents an alternate future where the mutants are hunted down by Sentinels after a prominent Senator is murdered by a mutant.
Production is slated to begin very soon in Montreal.
